SODIUM LIGNOSULPHONATE

Premium Napthalene Sulphonate Series Overview

General data

Premium naphthalene sulfonate series - high-purity, low-sulfate formulations of Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde (SNF/NSFC), often referred to as Polynaphthalene Sulfonate (PNS) or simply Napthalene-based Superplasticizers. These products are anionic surfactants used as powerful dispersants and high-range water reducers, particularly in the construction industry, where they offer exceptional flowability, strength enhancement, and low foaming characteristics.

About the Premium Series:

  1. Construction (Superplasticizer):
    • High-Strength Concrete: Allows 10–25% (up to 30% in high-purity) water reduction, increasing compressive strength by 20–60% without affecting consistency.
    • Precast & Ready-Mix: Enhances slump (flowability) by 100–200 mm, crucial for self-compacting concrete, tunneling, and bridges.
    • Cementing: Improves workability and pumpability in oil well cementing and gypsum board manufacturing.
  2. Textile and Dye Industry (Dispersant):
    • Used in vat dyes, reactive dyes, and acid dyes to prevent flocculation and sedimentation, ensuring uniform color distribution, particularly for silk and wool.
    • Increases dye penetration, reducing consumption by 10–20%.
  3. Agriculture (Wetting Agent):
    • Acts as a dispersant for pesticides, herbicides, and wettable powders, ensuring uniform application and increased adhesion to plants.
  4. Ceramics and Refractories (Deflocculant):
    • Reduces viscosity in ceramic slurries, improving grinding efficiency and enabling higher density in green bodies.
  5. Rubber, Leather, and Paper:
    • Leather: Improves tanning chemical penetration.
    • Rubber: Acts as an anti-coagulating agent in emulsion polymerization.
    • Paper: Disperses pigments and fillers for smoother paper coatings.

Benefits of Premium Series

  • High Performance: Maximum reduction in water-to-cement ratio.
  • Durability: Lower porosity, improving resistance to freezing, thawing, and sulfate attacks.
  • Cost Effectiveness: High water reduction allows for lower cement usage and higher efficiency in industrial processes.
  • Compatibility: Works well with concrete admixtures like retarders and accelerators, and is suitable for hot/cold weather concreting.
